The nation’s first and only tablet-style POS system with full EMV capability is installed and online for the first time at a convenience store. Passport POS went live at 49 Fuels in Burlington, NC last week.
Last year, 49 Fuels became the nation’s first gas station to perform an EMV “chip card” transaction. Because Passport POS is EMV-ready out-of-the-box, the site can run a tablet-style POS system and process chip card transactions outside at the pump.
