Speed keys are a cashier's best friend they keep transactions on passport point of sale quick and easy and checkout times as short as possible speed keys let cashiers sell popular items at the touch of a button like coffee or certain food items here's how to set them up from the manager's workstation go to setup then register tap speed key maintenance and highlight an existing speed key menu click the change button and select an empty space on the speed key grid select add key and enter a plu or upc in the code box you can also search for items to add as a speed key by tapping the ellipses to the right of the code box select the desired icon from the list and select save the new speed key will immediately update at your cashier workstation to change the key highlight the existing speed key menu and click the change button to delete select the desired key and touch the delete key button in all cases remember to select save repeat the process until you have a full menu of speed keys and take your transaction speeds to a new level.
