Every smart retailer is looking for ways to keep their costs down. Recent data from NACS says that 50% of retailers list “optimizing revenue” as one of their top pain points.

The Market at Tiger, a Virginia-based c-store, was looking for a cost savings solution that could help them tackle margin leaks in their popular deli business.

At the time, they couldn’t reliably charge for extras like cheese; and they didn’t always know when supplies were running low.

“We were seeing $12 sandwiches ring up as $8 because extras weren't recorded,” says Maurice Lamarche, Vice President, Tiger Fuels.

That’s when The Market at Tiger made the call to add Passport Express Ordering foodservice kiosks to their site.

Express Ordering improved order accuracy from 70% to 95% on their made-to-order (MTO) food orders, which helped them address that pesky margin leakage.

It also expanded their visibility to their inventory levels because they were able to better track which ingredients they were using.

The buck didn’t stop there, as cost savings wasn’t the only help that Express Ordering provided. For a full breakdown on how Express Ordering helped The Market at Tiger boost their customer experience, cost savings, basket size, and more, check out our latest case study!
