On September 1, 2021, Professional Datasolutions Inc. (PDI) announced the acquisition of Orbis Technologies Ltd (Orbis Tech). Prior to the acquisition, Invenco Group Ltd® was a minority stakeholder in Orbis. The Invenco and Orbis Tech joint venture was established in 2016 in an effort to bring the retail fuel industry an agnostic, end-to-end site solution via Invenco’s outdoor payment terminals and Orbit Tech’s cloud-based Point-of-Sale payment terminals, back office and home-office offerings.
The sale of Orbis Tech to PDI was a positive step forward for Invenco’s long-term platform strategy in that the partnership will enable the three companies to move towards open, flexible and integrated site system offerings with increased resources and combined goals.
The Invenco team is confident that Orbis Tech’s current customer base will benefit from the global reach, ample support infrastructure and growing portfolio of integrated solutions made available to them by PDI.
