Las Vegas, Nevada, USA: October 7 2018: Revolutionary self-service payment provider Invenco® Group has launched Invenco-i2 at the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) show in Las Vegas. Invenco-i2 is a monthly-payment solution delivering an EMV upgrade for small to medium US petroleum retailers from $100 per-pump, per-month.
According to Invenco US General Manager, Len Denton, the solution is priced per-pump and includes two PCI 5 certified EMV Outdoor Payment Terminals (OPTs), an Invenco Link box to create an above ground Ethernet network and all warranties, maintenance, upgrades and service calls, including a terminal upgrade, available after four years. All for a low monthly fee and minimal upfront costs for install.
“We are in a unique position” explains Denton. “Invenco has delivered EMV outdoor payment globally since 2005 with millions of drivers around the world and in the US, already using Invenco OPTs every day. Because it is built on an open platform Invenco-i2 is designed for retrofit into the major dispenser brands seen on most US forecourts.
“It is also connected to ICS (Invenco Cloud Services), Invenco’s PCI DSS certified cloud. This enables Remote Key Injection and software upgrades. Making what is costly and complex for others very simple and easy for us.”
Smaller PCR players missing out
While Invenco sees Tier 1 and Tier 2 retailers being well served by its partner community the company observed smaller players being left behind in the race to the October 2020 EMV deadline.
“We can see smaller retailers being seriously penalized. Not just from the capital investment the EMV compliance requires but they are likely to be well down the priority list for service providers – with serious shortfall of service techs predicted the closer we get to the deadline.” says Denton.
Invenco-i2 will be rolled out from the first quarter of 2019 based upon registered demand. NACS 2018 is the first unveiling of the Invenco-i2 solution which will be delivered from Invenco Inc’s base in Atlanta, Georgia.
